On this edition of Autism Live: Shannon Penrod discusses the
outrageous behavior of the tenured teacher who laughed and
videotaped a student with ASD trapped in his chair in her
classroom. The teacher then emailed the videotape to
colleagues who reported her to the school board. The teacher
is now being defended by area parents as being a good teacher who
was just finding the humor and the "teaching opportunity" of the
moment. Penrod discusses the definition on bullying and
offers her perspective as an Autism parent and former
teacher. Viewer questions about toileting and self-injurious
behavior are discussed.
